PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent agent for lowering the total cholesterol level in the blood. SOLUTION: The composition of the agent for lowering the total cholesterol level in the blood which enhances the action of pravastatin on lowering of the total cholesterol level in the blood comprises pravastatin and at least one vitamin selected from riboflavin butyrate and ascorbic acid as active ingredients in such an amount of the vitamin alone as not to exhibit the action on lowering of the total amount of cholesterol in the blood.
