USE OF K-252A DERIVATIVE FOR THE TREATMENT OF PERIPHERAL OR CENTRAL NERVE DISORDERS, AND CYTOKINE OVERPRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of ameliorating the deleterious effects of various diseases, disorders and illness. SOLUTION: Disclosed herein are therapeutic methodologies utilizing a ring-substituted derivative of the indolocarbazole K252a, which is the derivative represented by formula (A). The compound is useful for treating peripheral neuropathies, central neuronal degeneration and cytokine overproduction.
