<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to improve operability for the various maintenance work of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A drum unit PU incorporating a photoreceptor drum 1 is reciprocally movable between an image forming position and a stand-by position. The drum unit PU located in the image forming position during the use of the apparatus body is moved to the stand-by position in synchronization with the opening operation of the opening/closing part 7. Protecting the photoreceptor drum without a shutter member used as in a conventional apparatus results in easy attaching and detaching operation of the drum unit and improvement of the protection of the photoreceptor drum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
