PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic particle having little nonspecific adsorption of a protein, a nucleic acid or the like, capable of manifesting a low noise, and a probe-bound particle. SOLUTION: This magnetic particle has a polymer having middle water under the coexistence of free water at least on the surface, and the polymer has a functional group usable for chemical bonding to a probe.
