PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed remote file copying method for preventing concentration of loads to a copy source host when a user copies a file remotely from an optional copy source host to a plurality of optional copy destination hosts. SOLUTION: This remote copying method for copying the file from the copy source host 0 to a plurality of copy destination hosts i (i =1 to n) comprises a process for dividing the file into a plurality of fragment files in the copy source host 0, a process for copying the fragment files one by one from a host i to a host i+1 (i =0 to n-1), and a process for binding the fragment files together in the copy destination host i (i =1 to n).
