PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a dampening arrangement in which framing is avoided or decreased in at least a sufficient extent. SOLUTION: The method of operating a dampening arrangement 3 of a printer 1 in which a first water form roller 4 produces slip to a plate cylinder 2 and rolls on a plate cylinder 2, and a second water form roller 5 rolls on a plate cylinder 2 simultaneously with it is characterized in that the first water form roller 4 and the second water form roller 5 bring the difference of the circumference surface velocity.
