The method involves attaching strip-like pressure water impermeable parts (4.1) of a seal (4) with a part in an opening (3) of a wall of a building. The parts of the seal are connected with each other at the wall and the opening, in a pressure-water impermeable manner, by welding. An external wall (1) of the building is excavated. Another opening is made at the external wall and an inner wall of the building by a sawing process. Operating windows are arranged within an overlapping area of the parts of the seal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a seal for subsequent attachment into a land-based building (2) a sealing system.
