Weapon placing device (1) has two placement edges (21,22) which are put on the support. It has a fastening section on which the weapon can be fastened, supported from underneath. At least one support section (51,52) linked to a fastening section forms a placement edge, which can be pivoted towards the fastening section using a hinge (61,62). Two such support sections are envisaged. The hinges of the support sections are offset to each other on the outer sides of the fastening section, or alternatively are aligned. The support sections run outwards in a cone shape, enabling the outer edge to form a placement edge.
