METHOD FOR PROCESSING AUTHENTICATION FOR POST ISSUANCE OF ICC INFORMATION

A method for approving post issuance of information stored to an ICC(IC Chip) is provided to enable a card issuance facility to utilize a post issuance process as an independent profit source by billing a charge for the post issuance of the information stored to the ICC and promote an SMSC(Short Message Service Center) by linking billing the charge for the post issuance with the SMSC. A card terminal transmits authentication information stored in an ICC to an approval server, receives a post issuance approval code for post issuance of the information stored to the ICC from the approval server, and transmits the post issuance approval code to a post issuance server. The post issuance server requests an authentication server to authenticate the post issuance by providing the post issuance approval code to the post issuance server(230). The authentication server authenticates validity of the post issuance approval code by comparing the received post issuance approval code with the post issuance approval code transmitted to the card terminal and provides an authentication result to the post issuance server(238). The post issuance server processes the post issuance depending on the authentication result(248).
