A hood latch for a vehicle is provided to facilitate the assembling process of the latch by assembling the latch without modifying shape of the latch corresponding to a position of a driver. A hood latch(100) for a vehicle comprises a first latch, a second latch(40) based on a base(10), a release lever(30) and a spring. The release lever is installed at a lower end of the first latch and is interlocked with the first latch. The spring is installed between the release lever and the base. Two ends of the spring forms a straight line and come in surface contact with the base and the release lever. An upper end of the release lever comes in contact with the base through the spring. A lower end of the release lever is spaced apart from the base and connected to a wire.
