<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV device capable of making even a person who is not familiar with the device perform a target operation by a simple operation immediately after purchasing the device. <P>SOLUTION: Four scene buttons 63 are provided at places with successful accessibility of an AV receiver 1. In the AV receiver 1, a plurality of scene templates in which information about various setting required for a user to attain an operation (scene) desired to be performed using the AV receiver is packaged are stored and scene templates of scenes with high use frequency are allocated to each scene button. Only by depressing a scene button corresponding to the operation desired to be performed by the user, the corresponding scene template is called and setting of each part in the AV receiver 1 is performed based on the scene template.
