<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology relating to improvements in reliability and improvement in productivity that are necessary for commercial production, while providing technology that leads to size reduction in a power conversion device having cooling function. <P>SOLUTION: Series circuits comprising an upper arm and a lower arm of an inverter circuit are built into a single semiconductor module 500. The semiconductor module has cooling metals on both sides, and an upper-arm semiconductor chip and a lower-arm semiconductor chip are wedged in between the cooling metals. The semiconductor module is inserted inside a channel case body unit 214. A DC positive-electrode terminal 532, a DC negative-electrode terminal 572, and the AC terminal 582 of a semiconductor chip are disposed in the semiconductor module; the DC terminals 532, 572 are electrically connected to a terminal of a capacitor module; and the AC terminal 582 is electrically connected to a motor generator via an AC connector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
