<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar apparatus capable of measuring angular errors in an elevation direction, in addition to an azimuth direction and measuring the angular errors, even if a platform is moving. <P>SOLUTION: The radar apparatus includes a transmission/reception antenna 2 mounted on the moving platform 1, emitting an electromagnetic beam to a reference target 3, and observing a scattered wave from the reference target; a beam control means 8 controlling the emitted beam; a transceiver 9 transmitting a transmission signal to the transmission/reception antenna and obtaining an observation value of signal intensity of the reference target received by the transmission/reception antenna; a first database 10 storing angular characteristics of an antenna gain; a second database 11 storing coordinates of the reference target and electric characteristics; a prediction means 12 predicting signal power from the reference target on the basis of a control value by the beam control means, stored values of the first and second databases, and the coordinates and a posture angle of the platform; and a collation means 13 estimating the attachment error angle of the transmission/reception antenna, on the basis of the collation between the observation value of the signal intensity and the pre-predicted value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
