<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device enabling high speed image output while attaining a low cost by reducing the number of light sources. <P>SOLUTION: The optical scanning device has: the modulation driven light sources 1-1, 1-2; a deflection means 7 having multi-face reflection mirrors 7a, 7b on a common rotating shaft in a plurality of stages; a light flux division means 4 for entering a light beam divided into the different stage reflection mirrors 7a, 7b of the deflection means 7 by dividing the light beam from the common light source; a plurality of faces to be scanned 11a, 11b; and scanning optical systems 8, 9, 10a, 10b for guiding the light beam scanned by the deflection means 7 to the corresponding face to be scanned. In the optical scanning device, the light beam scanning the different faces to be scanned 11a, 11b, the different stage multi-face reflection mirrors 7a, 7b displace in an angle ofθof a mutually rotating direction, and the light beam divided from the common light source has the angle in each sub-scanning direction to the normal of the multi-face reflection mirrors 7a, 7b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
