PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for maintenance of an inkjet head capable of maintaining the inkjet head efficiently, in a short time, surely without damaging the substrate of a delivering opening. SOLUTION: The apparatus for maintenance of the inkjet head is characterized by including a removing unit equipped with a suction member in which at least one first suction opening with a direction parallel to the orientation direction of the delivering opening as the longitudinal direction and at least one second suction opening with a direction parallel to the orientation direction of the delivering opening as the longitudinal direction are separated from each other in the direction orthogonal to the orientation direction of the delivering opening and are opened in parallel opposite the face on which the delivering opening is formed of the head substrate, arranged at a position which is not brought into contact with the head substrate, on a face opposite the face on which the delivering opening is formed of the head substrate, and a suction pump for sucking air in the suction member.
