PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast program recording/reproducing device that reproduces video-recorded programs of the same series by excluding video-recording data of broadcast parts other than main story of the program when reproducing the video-recorded programs of the same series, and a broadcast program recording/reproducing method. SOLUTION: The broadcast program recording/reproducing device is provided with a recording means 20 for recording a plurality of received broadcast programs of the same series, a skip-section detection means 22 for detecting sections common to a plurality of the broadcast programs recorded on the recording means 20 as skip sections, and a reproduction processing means 13 that reproduces the broadcast program selected from among the broadcast programs recorded on the recording means 20 while skipping the skip sections detected with the skip-section detection means 22.
