PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous annealing facility with which the raising of a tension at the downstream side in a roll-cooling zone can be restrained while applying a high tension in the roll-cooling zone. SOLUTION: In the continuous annealing facility 1, either one of a roll-cooling zone 2 and water-quenching heating part 4 can be selected. Bridle rolls 7b for adjusting the outlet side tension, are constituted of three driving rolls, and the upper-side rolls 8a of a first heat-treatment part 5, are disposed at the upper part from the downstream side driving roll 9i in the bridle rolls for adjusting the outlet-side tension, and the uppermost stream-side roll 10 in the first heat-treatment part 5 is the upper part-side roll 8a and is non-driving roll, and when the roll-cooling zone 3 is used, the steel strip tension in the first heat-treatment part 5 is made to be smaller than the steel strip tension in the roll-cooling zone 3.
