PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound which can be used as a therapeutic agent for diseases in which an EP1 receptor is involved, particularly lower urinary tract diseases such as pollakiuria or urinary urgency and incontinence associated with overactive bladder, cystitis, interstitial cystitis and prostatitis. SOLUTION: It has been found that a carboxylic acid derivative having a bicyclic heterocyclic group comprising condensed benzene rings or its salt has a potent EP1 receptor-antagonistic effect. The carboxylic acid derivative or its salt can be used as a therapeutic agent for diseases in which an EP1 receptor is involved, particularly a lower urinary tract diseases such as pollakiuria or urinary urgency and incontinence associated with overactive bladder, cystitis, interstitial cystitis and prostatitis.
