PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter which improves the stabilization of a granulate filter medium without causing the excessive funnel effect of a wall surface. SOLUTION: The filter is provided with a hollow frame having a first surface, a second surface, and an inner passage between them, a first filter net crossing the passage at the first surface, a matrix which is a first partial depth stabilization member for an open cell extending inward across the passage and formed of a plurality of wall parts, a second filter net crossing the passage at the second surface, a matrix which is a second partial depth stabilization member for the open cell extending inward across the passage and formed of a plurality of wall parts, and the granulate filter medium densely filled into the passage. The sum of the depths of the first and second partial depth stabilization members for the open cell is smaller than the depth of the filter (the distance between the first filter net and the second filter net). The depths of the first and second stabilization members, the number, size, and cross section of the open cells, the depth of the filter, the composition of the granulate filter medium, and filling density are balanced with each other.
