<p>Provided is a voltage control apparatus which improves efficiency of the entire system even when voltage fluctuation of a capacitor, i.e., a storage battery, is large. A voltage control method is also provided. The voltage control apparatus is provided with a capacitor for supplying power to a prescribed load; an inverter connected to the load; and an AC-coupled bidirectional DC-DC converter. The converter AC-couples two voltage-type inverters with the alternating current terminals of the two voltage-type inverters. In the two voltage-type inverters, direct current terminals are connected in series to an additive polarity. The converter includes a transformer having a prescribed leak inductance, has one of the two voltage-type inverters connected in parallel to the capacitor, and outputs the direct current voltage, which is obtained by increasing the voltage of the capacitor, to the inverters. The voltage control apparatus is also provided with a control means for generating and outputting a command value of a direct current voltage, based on efficiency of the AC-coupled bidirectional DC-DC converter having a value that corresponds to the capacitor voltage.</p> |
