Pre-cast piles, methods of producing the pre-cast piles and methods of joining the pre-cast piles are disclosed. The pre-cast pile (11) comprises a plurality of spaced apart cavities (12) in a termination of the pre-cast pile and a plate (16) coupled to the termination such that a plurality of spaced apart slots in the plate align with respective cavities in the termination. Adjacent piles (11A, 11B) are aligned to form sockets (26). A complimentarily shaped key (28) is inserted in each socket to secure adjacent piles together.
