EYELID DETECTOR AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eyelid detector capable of correctly detecting eyelids with less operation.

SOLUTION: A camera 10 photographs a subject's face. A CPU 24 of a computer 14 acquires its moving image and stores it in an image memory 22. The CPU 24 extracts edge lines which are candidates for a combination of the upper and lower eyelids of the subject from a predetermined region of the moving image stored in the image memory 22. The CPU 24 determines the edge lines in which the centroid of the candidate of the upper eyelid vertically moves but the centroid of the candidate of the lower eyelid does not move, as the subject's eyelids out of the extracted edge lines.
