<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a carbon minute sphere having a relatively large particle diameter with an arithmetic average particle diameter dn of about 450-1,000 nm. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the carbon minute sphere, a hydrocarbon gas is fed to an external heating type heating furnace to perform thermal decomposition, 1. a concentration of the hydrocarbon gas is set/controlled to 50-100 vol.%, 2. a temperature elevation speed of the external heating type heating furnace is set/controlled to 100°C/sec or lower, 3. an in-furnace temperature of the external heating type heating furnace is set/controlled to 800-1,100°C, and 4. an in-furnace staying time for performing thermal decomposition is set/controlled to 8.0-30 seconds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
