IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND PORTABLE TERMINAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a thin portable terminal device by attaining an excellent image pickup device which is made compact and thin by a simple structure.

SOLUTION: The thin image pickup device is provided with: a plate member 8 having a step part 8A around an opening part 9; an optical filter 5 for closing the opening part inside the step part 8A; a wiring board 7 disposed so that it can be engaged outside the step part; a semiconductor imaging device 6 flip-chip mounted to the wiring board 7; and a lens 2 which is positioned and attached to the plate part 8.
