PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately shield a useless higher-order laser light which is deviated from a desired machining position on a workpiece.

SOLUTION: A higher-order light shading device 7 of a laser beam machining apparatus 1 is disposed to face a plurality of laser branch lights L branched in rows to sequentially arrange higher orders toward both sides from the center set at a zero-order, and blocks the laser branch lights L of a predetermined higher-order or more. The light shading device is equipped with a pair of light blocking plates 60, 60 arranged line symmetrically around the zero-order laser branch light L.
