PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight mounting device allowing easy incorporation of headlight in a motorcycle and capable of accomplishing a stably mounted condition. SOLUTION: The headlight mounting device is equipped with a headlight housing for storing the headlight and a headlight stay 23 to connect the headlight housing with the motorcycle body, wherein the headlight housing has a recess formed at the rear surface in the neighborhood of its center about the left-and-right direction and at least one pair of second projections apart from the recess to the left and right and to over and under, while the stay 23 is furnished in its front part with a first projection 33 formed in the place mating with the recess and with a pair of mounting holes 29a and 32a formed in the places mating with the respective second projections in such a way as able to engage with the second projections in the fore-and-aft direction.
