PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of correcting EVs. SOLUTION: A CPU 104 obtains the integrated value of a luminance signal from an integrator 101 as the present exposure amount and obtains a difference between the present exposure and the last exposure stored in an RAM 103. When photographing objects of the same brightness are photographed continuously, this difference becomes small. When the photographing object is photographed from another angle at backlight photographing, that is, when the photographing object is changed, this difference becomes large. The CPU 104 compares the difference with a prescribed threshold; and when the difference is below the threshold, the EV correction value is maintained. When the difference between both exposures is equal to or exceeds the threshold, the EV correction value is changed to zero. Consequently, when the photographing object is changed, the EV correction value is set as zero; and when continuous photographing is carried out; since the EV correction value is not reset, the labor and the time for manual correction of the EV are saved.
