PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery container and a plug capable of preventing a substance such as inflammable gas from discharging outside of the battery container. SOLUTION: The battery container comprises a pressure regulator 34 installed on the battery container and discharging the substance in the battery container to the outside when internal pressure of the battery container is increased, and a flame retarder 33 arranged on a discharging passage of the substance discharged from the pressure regulator 34 and lowering inflammability of the substance.
