PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective parasiticidal composition as a composition to rein foreign parasites. SOLUTION: This solvent system regarding pyrethroid and pyrethrin comprises a terpene or a terpene derivative (for example, a terpene alcohol, a terpene aldehyde, or a terpene ketone). In a favorable example, this solvent system further comprises an alkylene glycol ether. This composition which comprises pyrethroid and pyrethrin in such a solvent system will not crystallize at a low temperature and has an increased effect compared with a prescription containing current solvent. This parasiticidal composition is used for local application to animals, comprises pyrethroid or pyrethrin, and a carrier, and the carrier comprises a terpene or a terpene derivative.
