PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent invasion of fiber-eating insect pests from the outside of a fiber product storage site to the interior of the fiber product storage site. SOLUTION: The method for preventing invasion of fiber-eating insect pests comprises treating one or two kinds of ester compounds selected from a group consisting of 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-methylbenzyl 3-(1-propenyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate and 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-methoxymethylbenzyl 3-(1-propenyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate in the fiber product storage site. According to the method, invasion of fiber-eating insect pests from the outside of the fiber product storage site to the interior of the fiber product storage site can be prevented.
