PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely realize the complete closing of a valve and easily confirm that state. SOLUTION: This valve comprises a valve body, a valve element installed in the valve body rotatably around a rotating shaft, a stem 4 connected to the valve element coaxially with the rotating shaft, a gland 6 supported on the valve body and rotatably holding the stem 4, a cover member 7 secured to the stem 4, having a through hole extending parallel to the rotating shaft, and rotatable around the rotating shaft over the gland 6 when the stem 4 is rotated, and a first display member having a first display part 12 indicating that the valve element is fully closed and a bar-like part 13. The gland 6 has a first hole 9 so formed as to face the cover member 7. The first hole 9 is so formed as to accept the bar-like part 13 of the first display part through the through hole 14 only when the stem 4 is rotated so that the valve element is fully closed.
