A curtain airbag includes a non-expanding portion located halfway along the curtain airbag in a front-and-back direction, a front expanding chamber provided at a vehicle front side of the non-expanding portion, a rear expanding chamber provided at a vehicle back side of the non-expanding portion, an upper expanding chamber provided at an upper side of the non-expanding portion, a lower expanding chamber provided at a lower side of the non-expanding portion, and a vertical expanding chamber connected to a halfway portion of the lower expanding chamber in a front-and-back direction. The vertical expanding chamber allows the gas to flow therethrough, and extends upward. The vertical expanding chamber is connected only to the lower expanding chamber to allow the gas to flow therethrough.
