MOUNTING LENSES FOR LED MODULES

A LED module (1) comprises : - a LED chip (3) mounted on a substrate (5), - a lens (2), and - a metal holder (4) mechanically holding the lens (2) and being soldered on the substrate. The holder (4) can be designed such that it holds the lens (2) such that there is an air gap (6) between the light exit surface of the LED chip (3) and the bottom face of the lens (2).
