<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light receiving element having a small number of metal lines on a thin film transistor array substrate to improve an aperture ratio of a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: This light receiving element has a first electroconductive line, a second electroconductive line, a switching TFT (thin film transistor) 210, and a photodetector. The switching TFT 210 has a first gate electrode, a first terminal electrode, and a second terminal electrode, the first gate electrode is electrically connected to the first electroconductive line, and the first terminal electrode is electrically connected to the second electroconductive line. The photodetector is electrically connected between the first electroconductive line and the second terminal electrode, and detects incidence of light thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
