<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat cable with a terminal with downsizing aimed at and excellent in connection reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The flat cable with a terminal 1 is so formed that a width Wz between inner side faces 25, 25 of a pawl part 24 of a piercing terminal 2 is equal with or smaller than a width Wc of a conductor 31 of the FFC, and at the same time, a width Wx of outer side faces 26, 26 of the pawl part 24 is equal with or larger than a width Wc of the conductor 31. The flat cable with the terminal 1 of such a structure has the pawl part 24 penetrate an insulator 32 of the FFC 3, and at the same time, an inner side face of the pawl part 24 comes in contact with an end face of the conductor 31 of the FFC 3, so that the FFC 3 and the piercing terminal 2 are electrically connected. Further, the pawl part 24 penetrating the insulator 32 is caulked to grip the FFC 3, so that the FFC 3 and the piercing terminal 2 are mechanically connected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
