<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery which is provided with a negative electrode in which an active material containing at least either element of silicon or tin is used and has excellent charge and discharge characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: Capacities of the positive electrode and the negative electrode are set up so that, in a fully charged condition of a lithium secondary battery charged by a predetermined charging method, a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode active material may be in a first partially charged condition and, in a fully discharged condition of the lithium secondary battery discharged by a predetermined discharging method, the negative electrode active material may be in a second partially charged condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
