<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve miniaturization of a memory and accurate memory writing in a configuration in which an image stored in a first memory is acquired to apply normalization processing to the image and the normalized image is written in a second memory. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor performing face identification processing is configured to take out an image from a first memory (SRAM 1) storing a face image before normalization and store the normalized image in a second memory (SRAM 2). The processor does not store the entire face in the first memory (SRAM 1) storing a face image before normalization, and stores only a part of the face. Further, the processor changes a scan sequence as an order of data writing in the second memory in accordance with the inclination of the face stored in the first memory (SRAM 1).
