摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber-reinforced composite material having a high coefficient of thermal conductivity, improved in three-dimensional thermal conductivity, especially in that in the thickness direction, and besides excellent in mechanical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The carbon fiber-reinforced composite material is produced by impregnating a pitch-based carbon fiber aggregate with a thermosetting resin or a thermosetting resin precursor. The carbon fiber aggregate is the one which is formed by mixing a short fiber A, comprising a pitch-based carbon fiber, having an average fiber diameter (D1) of 5-15 &mu;m, with a ratio (CV1) of the fiber diameter distribution (S1) to D1 being in the range of 5-15%, having an average fiber length (L1) of 10-100 &mu;m and having an aspect ratio to the average fiber diameter (D1) of 1-20 and a short fiber B, comprising a pitch-based carbon fiber, having an average fiber diameter (D2) of 5-15 &mu;m, with a ratio (CV2) of the fiber diameter distribution (S2) to D2 being in the range of 5-15% and having an average fiber length (L2) of 0.1-1 mm in a weight ratio of 1/99 to 99/1, wherein the microcrystal size derived from the growth direction of the hexagonal net planes of the carbon fiber aggregate is &ge;10 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
