PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for an optical material, which has a small photoelastic coefficient absolute value and reduces foreign materials generating in a molding process, and an optical film composed of the resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition for the optical material comprises a thermoplastic resin composition (A), and an antioxidant (B) composed of a phenolic antioxidant (B-1) and/or a phosphorous antioxidant (B-2).
