PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic electric compressor capable of applying to large capacity inverter machine while improving joint strength of a compression mechanism to a hermetic housing. SOLUTION: In the hermetic electric compressor 1 provided with a cylindrical shape steel plate hermetic housing 2 and a compression mechanism 7 including a cast iron structure component 6, and having the compression mechanism 7 joined and fixed inside of the hermetic housing 2 by a plurality of welding parts via the cast iron structure component 6, a steel welding structure 31 is fixed on an outer circumference section at least corresponding to the plurality of welding parts of the cast iron structure component 6, and the welding structure 31 and the hermetic housing 1 are joined and fixed by a plurality of welding parts 32.
