PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein professional knowledge and a workman's technical skill are required in construction work by use of conventional pavement materials, long time and much labor are required in the preparations before the construction work, a long construction term is required, partial repair in the case of damage is very difficult because it impairs the beauty of the appearance, and such materials that are favorable for use on a garage terrace at a housing site having small area, prevent growth of grass in the approach to the entrance and an empty lot and around planted trees and plants, have flexibility in use on an alley and a back alley, can be simply constructed, have beautiful appearance, and are gentle to the environment were conventionally unavailable. SOLUTION: This pavement block is constituted by providing a spike having a rectangular cut end and a wedge-shaped tip on a rear surface of the block having a slightly drum-shaped surface and chamfered corners and sides. Consequently, this block has satisfactory water draining property and water permeation property into the ground and it is possible to prevent the block from being caught and rotated, jumping up, and stumbling over. This block can correspond to even a place having a slope, is flexible, allows any worker to lay this block in any place, facilitates its repair and transfer, and is gentle to the environment.
