The method involves resting a detachable clutch (4) on a rotor-sided contact surface (KL) during a pulling phase. The clutch is rested on an impact-sided contact surface (KS) during a pressure phase. A transition phase (W) is provided between the pulling phase and the pressure phase. A contact constraint is changed between the two contact surfaces of the clutch. The transition phase is discretely triggered from the pulling phase to the pressure phase during a local positioning of a runner (5) at pole period (P) of poles of a linear motor (1).
