A multi image forming apparatus for sorting documents and a control method thereof are provided to extract sorting standard information and to apply a sorting order and a sheet feeding order to the sorting standard information for sorting out the documents without an additional device. A control method of a multi image forming apparatus comprises the steps of; judging whether a command signal for sorting documents is inputted(S500), reading the pre-set region of the document and extracting the sorting standard information(S510), applying a sorting order and a sheet feeding order to the sorting standard information(S520), judging whether an operating command signal for operating the sorting of the documents is inputted(S530), judging whether the documents are fed(S540), and sorting out the documents, using the stored sorting order and the sheet feeding order.
