The invention relates to a kit for constructing a washroom or kitchen pod 10. Such pods may be pre-fabricated off site and the sections sized so as to fit through standard doorways and windows. The kit comprises a floor section 12, a roof section 14 and a plurality of wall sections 16. At least one of the wall sections will have at least one item of sanitary ware and/or at least one electrical apparatus. The sections are releasably inter-connectable to allow the pod to be assembled and disassembled. The pod is preferably located in a corner of a room such that a service area 60 exists between the pod and the room corner or a wall of the room. |
