The installation has a vehicle e.g. transport carriage (14), moving to and fro on an inclined path between an upstream station (10) and a downstream station (12). One of the stations has a locking device to lock the vehicle in a parking position with respect to a fixed infrastructure. The locking device has a latch movable between a retracted position and a locking position in which the latch constitutes a retractable stop to block the movement of the vehicle in the parking position, in a moving direction e.g. descending direction, on the path. |
