<p>Methods and systems are provided for driving one or more force coils (14, 18). A system (10) for driving force coils (14, 18) is provided including a PWM drive (12) coupled to a first coil (14) and a linear drive (16) coupled to a second coil (18). The PWM drive (12) efficiently drives the first coil (14) to apply a first force. The linear drive (16) drives the second coil (18) to apply a second force that is substantially noise-free. The first force is greater than the second force.</p> |
