Method and device for the adhesive binding of book blocks

A book-blocks (2) binding method involves a feed device (5) for holding the book-blocks which are comprised of several folded sheets and/or pages, and in which molten adhesive is applied to the spines of the books. For successive individual treatment of the book-blocks following application of the adhesive the applied adhesive is treated with cooled air so that the respective subsequent treatment takes place exactly in the required adhesive film-forming phase.
