A method for preparing hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylates is provided to increase a purity level of the product while striking a balance between economic efficiency and process efficiency. A method for preparing hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylates includes the steps of: (i) supplying (meth)acrylates to a reaction vessel; (ii) feeding at least one alkylene oxide to the reaction vessel at a supply speed of 0.12-1.23 moles/hour per (meth)acrylate 1 mole; (iii) keeping the reaction temperature at 50-69 °C while the alkylene oxide is fed; (iv) cooling the content of the reaction vessel to a temperature at least 5 °C lower than the initial reaction temperature when at least 35wt% of the total alkylene oxide is added to the reaction vessel; (v) reacting at least one (meth)acrylic acid with at least one alkylene oxide to form hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate containing impurity; and (vi) purifying the hydroxy(meth)acrylate through distillation.
