A manifold of a fuel cell stack is provided to improve electricity generation performance by supplying hydrogen and air to all unit cells of the stack evenly, and to increase durability of an electrolyte membrane. A fuel cell stack comprises a laminate of unit cells having a membrane-electrode assembly(13) and separator plates(11) attached to both surfaces of the membrane-electrode assembly. When the unit cells are laminated, holes(h) formed at an inlet and an outlet of a channel formed on the membrane-electrode assembly-sided surface of the separator plate are linked with one another to form a supply manifold(12a) and a discharge manifold(12b). A gasket(14) is installed between separator plates which divide the unit cells. A cross-sectional area of the supply manifold reduces from the inlet to the end part. |
