摘要 An electric fault current limiter having superconducting elements inside a cryogenic vessel and bushings for connecting an external circuit is provided to remove necessity of releasing electric connection with the circuit in removing a cover of the vessel by installing the bushings in a main body region of the vessel surrounding an ullage space under the cover. An electric fault current limiter(1) includes a cryogenic vessel(2), superconducting elements(5), an ullage space(8), and bushings(24,28). The cryogenic vessel has a main body(3) and a cover(4) to isolate an inner space from an outer space. The HTSC(High Temperature Superconductor) type superconducting elements are submerged in a cryogenic fluid(6) filled in the inner space of the vessel. The ullage space is formed between the cryogenic vessel and the cover. The bushings have conductors(17,18) extended from the inner space of the vessel to a peripheral space. The conductors connect the superconducting elements to a current path to be protected from fault current. The bushings are installed in a region of the main body of the vessel surrounding the ullage space under the cover.
